Glad to see they are making a sequel, and it’s always a great thing when an Indie developer sees such massive success thanks to such an innovative, and fun, product. I believe I own the game myself on Steam, along with nearly 300 other games I’ve yet to touch… Terraria was hugely successful and I know several friends who own and loved it. The joke only works if its on a sequel, so it couldn't just be 'Terraria Electric Boogaloo'. The boys throw their hat into the Terraria 2 discussion. Its pretty much just a joke thrown into the copious splash names on the Terraria window bar.
I have similar thoughts for Minecraft as well. Personally, I can't imagine a sequel to Terraria since the game seems so 'complete' as it is right now. People have been talking about it way before 1.2 ever came out, and nothing has come into fruition as of yet. Expanding upon the immensely popular action-sandbox title Terraria, exploring what might have been, and approaching gameplay in a new direction Terraria: Otherworld represents a novel take on the Terraria experience. Its a joke term used to refer to the phenomenon where sometimes sequels tend to bring unusual or weird subtitles to the name. Perhaps Terraria 2 will come out, but probably not anytime soon.
